“I represent developers and businesses on land use and commercial real estate matters throughout Colorado, bringing insider knowledge of how local government works and sophisticated transaction experience from national practice.”

Municipal Experience

I worked directly with city planners, elected officials, and community stakeholders on complex approvals. I served as the lead attorney on RetoolCOS—a complete rewrite of the Colorado Springs zoning code.

This experience gave me an insider's understanding of how local government evaluates projects, what city staff expects in applications, and how to navigate approvals when community opposition emerges.

I spent eight years in the Colorado Springs City Attorney's Office handling land use and real estate matters—including three years as Division Chief, leading a team of eight attorneys and three paralegals. In that role, I advised on commercial development, economic development agreements, regulatory compliance, and all aspects of municipal law affecting business operations.

Industry Experience

Before moving to Colorado, I practiced corporate and real estate law in Pittsburgh, PA, representing national companies on acquisitions, development projects, and commercial transactions. I handled oil and gas acquisitions and dispositions, wireless infrastructure deployment across multiple states, and manufacturing facility purchases. I also represented group home operators in land use hearings and served as a board member of a non-profit group home operator.
